Matt Cardle Crowned X Factor Winner !

Congratulations to Matt Cardle who has won this year’s X Factor! The painter and decorator from Essex won in Sunday night’s final against Rebecca Ferguson and One Direction.

Matt Cardle with X Factor host Dermot O’Leary and mentor Dannii Minogue.

One Direction, who came in third sung Torn before leaving the competition last night. Rebecca, who was this year’s runner up sung Sweet Dreams by the Eurythmics and her winner’s single.

Rebecca and Matt eagerly awaiting the results.

As well as all the final 16 (except Cher Lloyd who didn’t show) appearing on stage to congratulate Matt Sunday night’s show also saw a performance from this year’s more controversial contestants.

Matt Cardle who won the public vote every week, bar week one where he lost out to Mary Byrne, sung Biffy Clyro’s Many Of Horror as his winners single, which is hottly tipped to be this year’s Christmas number one!

Get The Look: Katie Waissel

The X Factor has certainly made its mark this year, and this weekend two of its most controversial contestants were given the boot. In another double eviction Katie Waissel was voted off first after receiving the fewest public votes and Wagner lost out to Mary Byrne in the sing off.

As always we were keeping our eye on the make-up and style and this weekend it was Katie Waissel who caught our eye. Having revealed a new look last weekend, Katie was going all bohemian this weekend with a floaty dusky pink dress and a smokey eyed make-up look.

X Factor Style

Here in the Models Own offices we have a serious case of X Factor fever! We can’t wait to see what the contestants will sing, which judges will have a row and who will leave each week.

Another thing we’re loving this year is the X Factor style. Stylist supremo Grace Woodward has been bought in to style this year’s contestants, and we have to say, they’ve never looked better!

However, past series have also bought us some style icons. Leona Lewis, Alexandra Burke, Diana Vickers (and JLS for the boys) have all emerged with their own sense of style, and we love it! Who gets your vote in the style stakes? Leave us a comment and let us know!

Alexandra Burke, winner of 2008′s X Factor.

Leona Lewis - perhaps the most successful X Factor contestant!

Diana Vickers, came fourth in 2008, but still one of our favourite fashionistas.

Get The Look: X Factor Special

It was all go on this weekend’s X Factor wasn’t it? Cheryl Cole refused to choose between her acts in the final vote, Matt Cardle stole the show with a standing ovation for his beautiful performance, Wagner had another, shall we say memorable performance and Treyc Cohen was the act that ended up going home!

As always we were keeping our eye on the contestants’ style and make-up and this week our vote goes to the oh-so-glamorous Rebecca Ferguson. Her classic style and make-up is that of old school Hollywood glamour, and we love it! See how you can get her look.

X Factor: Get The Look

This weekend’s Halloween themed X Factor saw some great gothic looks from all the contestants - even the boys! (Yes you Aiden we noticed the gold eyeshadow!)

Our favourite look was from Cher Lloyd. Cher got some great feedback from the judges, with Simon commenting that she gave “the performance of the entire season”.

For a statement look like Cher’s go for Black Magic nail polish, apply Graphite Grey powder eyeshadow to eyelids and finish with Sheer Sparkle Lipstick.
