Weekend Round-up

What a busy weekend it’s been. There’s been awards ceremonies, a charity football match, a tv talent show final and a summertime ball. Phew! Where to start

Saturday night saw the final of Britain’s Got Talent, and what a final it was! Gymnasts Spelbound went on to be the winners, scooping the £100,000 prize and chance to perform at the Royal Variety Show. If you didn’t get the chance to see their routine, see it again below.

On Sunday night, Britain’s Got Talent and Simon Cowell were the big winners at the BAFTA TV Awards. As always we were taking a look at all the outfits. Here’s a pick of some of our favourite oufits from the night. Which is your favourite?

Capital FM had their Summertime Ball, which saw the likes of JLS, Cheryl Cole, Pixie Lott, Rihanna, Dizzee Rascal and Ellie Goulding take to the stage.  Our favourite looks of the day came from Pixie Lott, who wore a bright coloured mini dress, complete with face paints, and Rihanna who was showing off her newly dyed red ‘do.

Across the pond saw the MTV Movie Awards. The show stolen by Katy Perry who turned up in a blueberry wig, sparkly dress and neon yellow nails.

There was also an hilarious dance routine with Jennifer Lopez and Tom Cruise as his Tropic Thunder alter ego, Les Grossman. See the video here.

Weekend Round-Up

Pineapple Dance Studios

Oh Louie! Pineapple Dance Studio’s rising star Louie Spence made quite an impression on the Friday night with Jonathan Ross. He charmed the audience describing how he’s not in it for the fame and fortune, he just loves to dance!

Over the Rainbow

Last night’s results show got mixed reviews for it’s Lady Gaga mash-up, the girls sang it well, was it a bit too cringy for the BBC? Charlotte Church reminded us all that she really can sing, stealing the show with the group performance of Donna Summer’s hit Enough is Enough (No More Tears).

Did you see the coin swallower on this weeks show? It’s got us talking in the office – how can he tell which coin to bring up!?

New No. 1

Diana Vickers kicked Usher off the No. 1 spot with her debut single Once. Diana celebrated the news with a box of doughnuts and a meal out with friends, nice!

Hooray! Britain’s Got Talent is back. :D

In case you missed the show, or need to be reminded, check out the videos below:

Britain’s Got Talent Is Back!

Yay, we’re all very excited in the Models Own office as Britain’s Got Talent is back on our screens tonight. Simon, Piers and Amanda will take their seats on the judging panel once more to decide who is the most talented in Britain.

On tonight’s show we’ll see the likes of 10-year-old Chloe Hickinbottom singing ‘White Cliffs of Dover,’ along with a trio dressed in orange, pink and red full bodied cat suits performing interpretive dance.

Last year’s winners Diversity have gone from strength to strength after winning last year’s show. Soon to appear in this summers film, Street Dance along with George Sampson, here’s a reminder why we all fell in love with the dance troupe last year.
